THEYRE sorta living in the bark of one of my bes phals any help?

Probably not fruit flies, but adult fungus gnats. The larvae feed on decaying bark and fungus and mold. Might be a good idea to repot those orchids. You can get the adults with the yellow sticky fly traps.

i was planning on mounting the orchid in question so they should stay in the bark and not on the roots of the plant right?

Correct. Just wash off the roots carefully and you should be "good to go", as they say.

Just repot them with fresh medium, wash the roots and viola! No more gnats!!
