Question YIKES, UGLY YELLOWING OF HEALTHY IN BLOOM PHALS??

Help me Puh-weeeze!!

I have a few phals in bloom/bud/spike that have been progressively turning yellow on thier UPPER leaves?!? All in just the last week. And nothing has changed in my habits. There must be about 40-50 more phals hanging out in my chid hotel, but only these in the pics are doing this.

Is this normal for Winter time? Normal for the TOP leaves to do this? And Even in Bloom/Bud/Spike?
As all bud 1 of them are.

They've all been soooo happy and healthy mounted hanging in their home for at least 6 months now. With the same habits from me.
The only thing that changed, was the weather, last week. Some cooler nights. BUT, why aren't ALL my phals doing this yellowing, IF it was the cold?

I'm sorry, but I'm just sick over this
My babies have been sooo very happy out there in their new home, that I don't know what is going on??

Plz help US

The flowers pic is of these phals.

I feel your pain and anguish all the way up here in Michigan. I haven't the smarts to know why something so "random" is happening to your chids. If it were the change in temperature then I would expect it to affect all plants in the same outside area. Can you see any crown rot or water damage to the crown? WOW...hope someone will chime in here and help you....

No, nothing is soft and yucky feeling. I've felt that nasty mush before! They are still strong and hard, just sadly turning soooo yellow?? The crowns are strong too.

My gut feeling says crown rot and I certainly hope I'm wrong.

How cold did it get?

My gut also says (screams) crown rot. I'm so sorry jkelee but that's what I suspect is happening here. It is not normal for this to be happening under any circumstance. Highly unlikely anything can be done but I suggest that you pour a good dose of hydrogen peroxide down the crown, cut the spike off and hope for a basal kieki to come along.

It could also be a fast spreading viral attack which, if it is, looks too late for any intervention.

Again, I'm sorry.

Im sorry, to see your babies in such condition.

Is it just a certain spot or is it random? If it is a certain spot or a like a channel maybe it the cold wind draft.

I put mine too close to the window and the 2 with leaves closest to the window turned yellow like that when the temp dropped 2 weeks ago. So i will keep my finger crossed that it is just the same for you.

It's not crown rot, cause they've been out there hanging under the summer FL storms, Daily. For about 6 months now. And no rot has set in with Daily Rains.

And the cold was only down to the mid 40's.

Hmmmm, So what should I do with them Now?
Can I leave them alone, will they be ok?
Or do I have to cut them all up/back

Take off the yellowing leaves and take them to a warmer spot.
