Default Had the Paph. for one day!

I bought a paph. for the first time yesterday. It looked good and everything, but today when I got up I noticed the leaves looking horrible. Anybody have any ideas why?

It appears that this is the current growth with a flower spike. Paphs will "die back". The growth or fan with the flower will die, sooner or later and new growth should emerge from the base of the old growth....wouldn't get too nervous, yet but don't toss the receipt!

Did you have the paph in direct light at all? My other thought would be the possibility of overfertilizing by the previous care taker. I would also consider that it coudl be the die back theory, so don't get too worried, just yet. I really don't have much to offer because of my 2 paphs one of them sits there and has done nothing for a couple of years (no new growth, no die off, etc.) and the other is happy and rebloomed within months...so I am still a bit confused about them as well. Good luck and keep us posted!

That looks like burn to me- too much light! I've been there cause I burnt a few leaves.
Where is this paph placed? Id keep it with phals they can tolerate that much light!

Burn, maybe, but probably not sun. I have mine in south window where they get full sun (when it shines) and I've never seen this on mine. Paphs can be quite sensitive to high doses of fertilizer, or salts build-up in the mix.
