camille, the PB of cycnoches haagei are quite yellow. I will keep them anyway, to see what happens next year...

I am also keeping the other plants under observation... i hope to save them too... but if they satrt developing "viral" sysmptom, I think they will end up in the bim too...

Oh yes, they bite!! You don't feel it as a bite since they are so very small, just a bit itchy. Believe me, when you're got a hundred or so crawling on your arm, it itches like hell! But just one or two biting, you probably wouldn't even notice. I don't know if all species 'taste' people, or just some.
I had nightmares about those thrips after working with them for 8 months. I mean, sometimes at the end of the day I would find some in my underclothes! Yikes!!
