.
As for the malathion. Anything I should be warned about. Will it make my skin peel or cause my toenails to bleed?

You will know soon enough if you are coming into too much contact with the poison ,when your bum falls off !!

[QUOTE=AaronM;132590]Apples?! Apples aren't hideously painful and diabolical, they're tangy and delicious. Do you sprinkle salt and/or diatomaceous earth on said apples? That would be most unpleasant. Are apples poisonous to snails like chocolate is to dogs? I can't picture myself laughing maniacally while setting out apple slices.

Try sprinkling a little pinch of salt directly on the snails. It has pretty much the same effect as if you poured acid on them. They foam up and melt. Looks like an effect that Spielberg would love. Really gross, but if you're in a maniacal mood there is a perverse satisfaction in watching them dissolve in such a radical fashion. It is rather horrible in a fascinating, disaster, train-wreck, can't take your eyes off of it sort of way. Oooh, gross, coool! if you know what I mean. Somehow I think that you do. You will need to use the poison control methods others have mentioned to solve and control the pests. Salt won't control the snails, but it gives you that bwaah ha ha ha surge of power while you're waiting for the poisons to work. Enjoy?

Would I pull your leg? Well I might, but that isn't the point here. The salt sprinkle affect/effect (?) does work that way. We're talking some serious eeeuwwww! Be prepared though. It will really bring out the evil in you. Put on your mad scientist outfit. Try it for yourself and report back the results of your experiments. The worst that could happen is that you might feel a bit silly. But when you discover that it is truth...I may have unleashed a monster.

PS - only works with snails though. Doesn't seem to have the same effect on slugs. You'd think it would be the same. Physiology is different I guess. Thought that slugs & snails were basically the same except for the shell. Guess not. Maybe because slugs don't have a shell, their hides are tougher. One of those great unanswered questions I suppose.

There won't be much to crush, only very messy, empty shells. Enjoy.
Take pics and share the evil experience.

Aaron your to much, see me at the depot if you want part of my Bayer product. The largest on the shelf is the smallest as well and growing indoors it most likely will go bad before I finish the bottle. Just gotta find out where the hubby put it. Let me know big guy...

the snails were hiding when I got home. Were they hiding from the Fay or did they sense something was amiss???? I even went out late at night with my flashlight and nothing.
