Ludisia Discolor losing leaves, help!
Unhappy Ludisia Discolor losing leaves, help!

Hi, I really need your help with a Ludisia Discolor problem.

I'm baby sitting a large Ludisia while it's owner is on vacation. After over a month of growth and happy-looking plant it's now losing leaves. They turn bright red, then pink. They are soft, not dry and hang from the stem before they turn drier. So far only the leaves closest to the pot are doing this but I'm afraid it's dying.

I would be very grateful if you could help me out! Please share your ideas or give advice for rescuing this plant.

They do that! Mine get cigar shaped stems, lose leaves, then grow new growths. Keep them wet and humid. Don't give them too much light (an east or even a north window may be fine).
