Another thing to remember is to be sure and sterilize your equipment between plants. Thus, is you use a knife scissors on one of the plants to cut off the blackened parts, remember to wipe the tool down with alcohol and - if you can - flame the edges with a lighter, etc. for several seconds. This will stop the spread of any disease(s) between plants as you are trying to stop this disaster from continuing.
Another thing to do is to treat any cut edges with a light dusting of ground cinnamon. This is just the same stuff you can find in any grocery store. Cinnamon is antibacterial and will stop any secondary infection that may occur in plants that have open cuts on them.

I am only a beginner but it sounds like you are on the right track. I have Physan-20 and it seems to work great. I know my catts do not like to get real wet for long periods, or their roots get crabby. I've gotten some pretty sick catts with hardly any roots, and they've come back really great! Now's the time for re-potting! I have my fingers crossed for you.

I think I have stopped the majority of them from dying completely. I think I am going to lose about 4-5. and I lost a lot of the growth on the other plants but it looks like they will make it. I've had to trim/spray and repeat 2-3 times now to try and get it all.

It looks to me like they got sunburn which caused a secondary infection. It's like with us, we get little sleep for a week, then someone sneezes on us and we are sick. Basically the immune system gets compromised, and you are susceptible to a host of things. Another thing, if you have had a lot of rain, water sitting on the leaves can magnify the effects of the sun, effectively boiling the area underneath it. You said that the roots look good, so that is what led me to my conclusion. Also I have grown Catts, and Dends outside for a couple of years, and my Catts sulked a lot when I had them with the Dends. I moved them this year to a shadier area, and they are growing like weeds. I am glad to hear that you have gotten the problem under control.

Actually I think I spoke too soon. I'm up to about 7-8 now. I thought it was gone ad it keeps popping up. They haven't got any water since this started and they've been kept in the ac in the back room. Hopefully I can get this stuff wiped out. I'm going to try uping the concentration of the Proforce slightly and see if that will kill this stuff.
