Default Three Sad Rescues

Besides growing orchids, I'm an avid thrift shopper. A few days ago I was leaving the store with my newly purchased treasures when something caught my attention just outside the shop. Someone had just donated a shopping cart full of items and, low and behold, on the top of the cart were 3 very sick orchids in desperate need of rescue. With out a moments hesitation I jumped into action...poking my head back in the store I told the clerk what I had found and she said, "Just Takem", and, of course, I did.

Words cannot describe their condition, so I've included some "Beware, not for the squeemish photos." What I have are three noids. One Phal, one Den, and one Onc.

They've been trimmed, soaked in systemic fungicide/insecticide and repotted in presoaked media with a little Superthrive and KLN. They still don't look like much, but it's going to take some time and lots of TLC for these guys to have any chance at recovery. The Phal initially had some very small leaves sprouting from the crown, but I accidentally knocked them off during the ordeal. Hopefully I'll be forgiven.

Just one cautionary comment, I have read where using SuperThrive AND KLN together may not be good since they have similar ingredients regarding the vitamins and growth promoting substances. I don't know if this is the fact and if you have used them together before with no bad outcome, that is a valuable piece of information.
Good luck on your quest.
Nick
