Default 3% hydrogen peroxide on mealies?

So i tried using just a soap water mix on my den with early signs of mealy bugs, but last night, there were still a few mini mealies alive, so I don't think will be effective enough.

I read on a site that a 5% hydrogen peroxide solution kills pests and their eggs. I have 3% H2O2 in my house. Can I just attatch a spray nozle to the bottle and use it as is? Will it hurt the leaves? I read it is safe for leaves and skin, so it is a perfect solution to kill pests.

Any thoughts/advice?

Cam

I think that with any homemade insect spray, one application isn't going to do the deed completely. Not that I'm saying you shouldn't investigate the hydro-peroxide. But in my recent mite battle, using that dish soap + alcohol + water mix, I believe I gave my Dendro about 4 applications over the course of 3 weeks.

True... hmmm.. well I put drops of this in betwen the leaves and the canes of my dend (where the mealies seem to be hiding), but ( will keep up the regular soap spray on the rest of the plant)-- I think will be effectivem and less stressful on the plant.

I have read that a complete generation life cycle of mealy bugs can be up to 50 days at 68°F (20°C).

A good spray regime of once per week for 4 weeks seems appropriate.
