I've searched all the Physan labels today and have saved copies from the manufacturer's site. I can't find this shelf-life discussion anywhere on the labels. I was told long ago (by whom, I can't remember) that as long as the solution foams when you apply it, it is still doing it's thing. It foams (for me) when fresh and when it quits foaming I discard. Anyways, the mold is still dead! It works in my case and I don't plan anytime soon to change my habits till I discover a problem. Just my 2 cents.
I did find bold print warning to not apply via overhead misting systems, however.
