You were right bo, the medium was so densly packed that i had to turn the pot upside down and give it a good shake to get it out. Also on the troubled paph, the roots were all gone! I checked the rest too and they were the same! So I repotted 'em all. Charmbutterfly was telling me that paphs should be repotted every year so maybe that was a problem too.

That was some good advice and a very good eye too, bo. I'm guessing you're good with the slippers...my slippers keep walkin away . Ok, jus kiddin.

I didn't have bark so I substituted with coconut chips. I really feel more at ease now. I will keep you all posted on the progress of the plant.

Is it just me, cuz sometimes I feel like pulling the plants out to see how the roots are doing.

Hey no problem. Yes I have always had good luck with paphs. As far as the paph with no roots I would repot that in to clean sphagnum and put a ziplock over the whole pot with some air slits. I have brought back paphs with just leaves no roots this way. its kinda like a spag and bag trick for when you have to rescue a orchid. I am glad that I could help. when you do start getting roots on the paph w/o any. wait about two months check the roots. If they are about to inches long I would go to back to feeding the plant weakly weekly.

I repot all my paphs every 6 months no matter if I think the medium is good or not. Saves alot of trouble in the long run. Wich reminds me I have a few to do today.
