Unhappy Help needed with mold and dry bulb on oncidium

Hey everybody, what should i do with this oncidium? I got her a few weeks ago, immediately repotted with kelpak and a clay pot. She started to get moldy and her pseudobulbs getting worse. Should I repot her with more leca and a smaller clay pot?

She doesn't have much root. The potting mix is mostly leca with a few barks and spaghnum.

Difficult to tell without photos. It would be highly unusual for a living Oncidium pseudobuld to get moldy.

When roots grow, they optimize their cellular structure for the environment they’re in, and once they’ve grown, they cannot change.

If you then change that root environment, those roots are immediately suboptimal, so will start to fail. That’s why the best time to repot is just when new roots are emerging. Those will be optimized for the new environment and support the plant.

At this point, the best thing you can do is to keep it very warm, humid, and shady, so it won’t lose water at a rapid rate while it grows new roots. Keep the potting medium moist with a 1:250 Kelpak solution.

Thank you very much for your answer! How much is the recommended watering for a grown but weak orchid? Twice a month? Or I should just stick to once a month?

Oncidiums should never be dry. Watering once a month explains why it's in trouble. In that pot and bark most people would water 1-3 times per week.

Thank you, but you misunderstood me. She is watered as soon as the bulbs show a little wrinkle. I was thinking about Kelpak, as I know, the recommended dosage is 3 week / dosage, but this orchid needs help, so that's why I asked if it is alright to water with Kelpak twice a month.

Waiting till the pbulbs show wrinkling is underwatering. The pbulbs should be plump. Even old back bulbs will stay wrinkle free with proper watering. Up the watering. And, other than the wrinkles, I don't see anything unusual with you plant. Whatever you are seeing doesn't appear to be mold.

I agree with this. I don't see any mold either is it possibly just some discolouration on that older, wrinkled pbulb?
