Yellow Spotted Vanda Leaf
Default Yellow Spotted Vanda Leaf

Hello!

Received this V. Prapawan #2 some months ago with a nasty Phyllosticta infection. Soaked entire plant in Clearys 3336 for 48 hours, 2 weeks apart. Black lesions lightened/stopped anppearing and plant resumed growing roots like crazy, new leaves/blooming. Wasn’t too worried about these spots to begin with (only on one set of old leaves, new growth is clean). Thinking possible damage from its previous fungal infection or pest -checked st.augustine’s website and couldn’t really find anything similar under diseases. Thoughts? Am I worried over old damage? Spots are only on 1 set of old leaves, spots are a light yellow without indentation or necrosis.

Do you have close ups of these spots too?

Sorry about the pic quality. Spots only seems to show when leaf set is backlit.

I don't know what that is. Vandas have lots of spots when grown in lower humidity environments.

That could even be old insect damage. (Especially if noticeable only with back lighting, those are thin spots where something like scale might have munched in the past, treatment removes the pest but the damage stays visible) If just on the old leaves, I wouldn't worry about it, just observe to see if it spreads.
