Systemic insecticides, such as Acephate, imidacloprid, Safari, and the like are best, but how you apply it is very important, as most insecticides only kill adults.
- Find a pesticide labeled for the pest.
- Mix it at the recommended concentration.
- Spray all exposed surfaces to dripping.
- Thoroughly drench the potting media.
- Treat all of your plants, not just those that appear to be infested.
- Repeat that two more times at one-week intervals.
With such a regimen, you will likely kill existing and newly-maturing adults before they can reproduce.
If, after another month, you see a resurgence, repeat the process using an insecticide have a different MoA.
