Yellow / translucent new leaves on oncidium sharry baby
Received this oncidium sharry baby a month ago and unfortunately all the new leaves are coming out translucent / yellow. The leaves are still growing but the issue has not gone away.
Anyone know what the issue with it is? Have checked the roots and they are looking great.
I would think it's a nutrient deficiency. Other, more experienced members, may recognize these symptoms, and give more precise guidance. I wish you success.
That is far more likely to be a bacterial infection - likely a result of water standing in the “crown”. I recommend treating with a copper-based remedy and quickly.
Nutritional deficiencies are hard to diagnose in such slow growing plants as orchids, as they tend to slow the plant’s growth further, rather than showing an extreme outward symptom.

Thank you! Would you suggest removing the damaged leaves or leave them and spray with a copper fungicide?
