That actually looks like insect damage - take a look at the undersides of the leaves, you may see evidence of scale insects. But the plant will survive just fine. If there is a pest problem, take care of it... the spots won't go away, but won't harm the vitality of the plant. We all have imperfections...
At this point, just observe... if there is no change (spots don't get bigger) you have likely solved the problem with correcting the environment. You could draw around the spots with a Sharpie, it makes it easier to see if they are expanding or not.
The first thing I thought when looking at the damage in the first pic, was the type of burn damage caused by too strong light being magnified through water droplets sitting on leaves (since there was mention of them getting too wet).
Just my initial thought, though.
