Question What’s wrong with my Cymbidium?

Hey,
I own this Cymbidium for a year, and it was showing off plenty of new growth recently, but most of it is covered with tiny dots like in the picture below:

At first look it seems like some kind of insect damage like scale but it’s impossible to scratch it off and it almost looks like it's inside the leaf. It appears mostly on new growth.
any idea what could it be?
Thanks

Welcome to the Orchid Board.

Those could be injuries from insect damage. Sometimes mealybugs, scale or thrips are hiding in crevices of new growth, where you can't see them.

As a side note, don't expect Cyms leaves to be pretty. Most of the times they get ugly, be it by damage or any other cause.

I’ve been told that’s spidermite damage. I have several cyms and they have it, as well as several catasetums. I’m treating with a Miticide, seems to be working.
