Leaf getting worse
Had this catt less then a week. It was in not perfect shape some scars. I thought it was no big deal now it is definitely getting worse. Not sure if they need to be removed. It's kept on a southern porch in charcoal. I've read everything I can about black rot, brown spot, black spot, edma. The yellow spot appeared more recently is getting worst. The edges are getting worst. Black seems to be spreading. As soon as I got it made sure not to splash water when watering. I first thought it was just sun spots.

Not sure if it isn't anthocyanin...photos are somewhat dark...
Check if the spots are located in the same spots where the strongest light hits.

I had an issue with leaves being uneven it was a lot worst then this assumed it was some deficiency. Not sure if anyone knows anything.

Got this dendro same day different person. This doesn't seem to be spreading. They are right next to each other. I noticed a raised black dot there is a new stem perfect and green so didn't worry

Brock, see this page.
The symptoms seems to be consistent with Acidovorax.
I would sugest to do nothing right now. Let's see if someone else, more experienced in diseases, gives another possible cause.

Thank you. I read through that page and a few others. I will try to find cattleya pictures of acidvorax. I will wait. I haven't isolated the plant. Theres a dendrobium stem that doesn't have a thing wrong with it. I started second guessing everything. I thought there was at least one cattleya bulb that was fine. The cattleya has fissures healed on the bulb some parts of the leaves all look old enough. Hopefully it is not fatal. It has a nice rhizome but I thought I saw black on it. But seems like normal dead sheath. I'll cut it down to one bulb or would i just remove leafs? As we wait what do you do with the infected tissue burn it?

Those last photos show only scratches. I don't recommend cutting things unless you know the problem with certainty. Orchids grow slowly and it takes a long time to replace things cut off.
