What to do with snails indoors?
I caught this little guy alive and kicking on one of my orchids today. I have a lot of plants crowded on a shelf in my room with LED lights and a humidifier, and, obviously, where is one, there are many.
I used to think I had thrips infestation, is it possible it was a snails issue all the way? Symptoms included yellowed/browned leaves, small holes and strikes on leaves, calatheas, orchids and ferns are affected more than other plants.
What should I do?

UPD: I have a super curious dog, so need something which isn't dangerous for dogs

Also: two of my rescued phals started growing new roots, but after a few days the growth stalled - could it be the snails' fault?

Diluted an expresso coffee in a liter of water and water the affected plants.
About the Phals, there are a lot of possible causes.

Thanks! Do I need only water them, or rinse leaves/pseudobulbs with coffee as well? Do I need to repeat the treatments?

As the snails live under the medium, watering two or three times is enough.

Yes the snails are probably harming your Phal. roots. What rbarata wrote will help yoi. If you search OB on "coffee" you will be able to read more.

Yep, I'm already on it - I work only half a day on Wednesdays, so I've been coffee-bathing, rinsing, and washing my plants since noon. I'm about 80% done by now (and it's 10:30 pm in my time zone.. hopefully I'll finish before midnight)

Is it a good idea to treat any new plant with coffee just to be on the safe side? I'm not completely sure, but it looks like I got the snails in December with either one of the new rescues or the live moss I purchased. Because before I didn't have the issue with holes/yellowing/damaged new leaves

They're so hard to see they might be in any or all of your plants. You need to treat all your collection but I think you should get some sleep and finish later. I'm starting to think I need to treat all new plants that don't arrive bare-root with coffee.

After dousing the plants with coffee, I lightly sprinkle instant coffee crystals on the surface to make certain that they do not return. I really hate these bush snails. They really love plant roots (as well as the flowers and entire miniature orchids).

A little butter and garlic and they're not too bad. Of course at that size you're going to need a lot to fill you up! 🤣
