Can anyone identify these pests? Female
Default Can anyone identify these pests?
I found these litte black insects/mites on the roots of one of my Vandas this morning before watering. I have read they could be oribatid mites (of which eat algae and fungus). Can anyone confirm this?
This vanda in particular came to me with algae/cyanobacteria covering the roots, could this be what they are munching on?

Just want to know if they will do any harm to the plant!
