Can someone tell me what’s wrong with my orchid? I reported it but it’s roots don’t seem very healthy since there it started to grow brown patches on them
Again like I said to you on Orchids Forum, don't pot your orchids in potting soil, you need a airy yet moisture retentive mix that doesn't compact well, I would recommend using Orchiata bark Power grade or a mix using it.
Brown patches on exposed phal roots aren’t necessarily a bad sign. It could mean that the roots are older and, like most things, showing normal signs of aging.
If you have it planted in potting soil, that’s not good and can quickly kill roots. Do as LD suggested and get some bark or another suitable material. ES suggested a good thread and it will have helpful info for you.
In general: Bark is going to be the most forgiving medium - it will dry the fastest and if you occasionally water “too soon”, bark is typically airy enough that your plant will be fine.
