White spots on bark

Hi everyone! Total beginner here.
I have a phal that I keep in a plastic vase, full of holes on all sides.
I water it by weighing it every day, when the weight decreases less than two grams from the day before I water it.
I use a fertilizer with N-P-K 3-4-5. I still have to buy a better one.
The temperature in my room at the moment is between 18°C-20°C, growing a lot in the next months.
I keep the orchid near a east facing window, in a bright shade spot.

Today I noticed this white spots in this pieces of bark that were in the vase (bark is the only media inside the vase).

They are not really spots, more like really tiny balls protruding from the bark.
What are they? What should I do to prevent them from spreading? Should I prevent them from spreading?

Warmth + water + organic matter = mold.

Probably not harmful to the plants, but an indication that the stuff is starting to age and may need to be replaced in the not-too-distant.

The bark is only 4 months old, does it mean it's a low quality bark if it gets moldy that soon? I basically water the orchid really scarcely and the temperature in my room is not really warm for an orchid...

What kind of bark do you use

The brand is called GebEarth.
From their website says:
Composition: Selected French pine bark
Ph: 6
Total Organic Carbon: 40%

They say it should last 3-4 years

This kind of mold lives on dead material and does not harm living plant tissue. If the plant is otherwise healthy and there is still a lot of air between the pieces of bark I would not worry.
