Default Tiny white bugs

Hello all its been a while and just the other day while watering my 5 Phal's I noticed in the bottom of one of the container I saw these small white lines LOL that actually was moving or wiggling on top of some water that had drained. I have had these Phal's for a couple of years now oops I mean 4 of them anyway the other one I've had for over 2 yrs now. From there last bloom I re potted them to larger pots with coarse grade potting mix like I always do or at least to my 2 yr old one.
Whats going on with these white bugs I've never had this happen to me ever since owner these. HELP.

Marvin

Those are springtails. They’re harmless to plants and eat decomposing organic material. They can sometimes be a sign that the mix is in the later stages of decomposing and needs to be replaced, but not always. Sometimes they’re just happily hanging around in a damp pot of fresh-ish media.

Where do they Originate/come from the air, Gublers Media Bark, water, Gublers Orchid food 19-8-16 blend ? Never read the bag of Media Mix (tree bark) to see if you need to Boil the mix/media first before re-planting/using it. The reason I changer the media (sphagnum moss) it stinks like rotting matter. When I bought the Orchids a small version/sizes Orchid plants leafs were maybe 4" long and roots were wrapped in this sphagnum moss. Just trying to find out what works and don't work for the re-planting process.

They could have come in on the bark, but they’re also just around outside so may have come in some other way. They’re harmless and there’s no need to boil or treat your bark. They do not harm your plants. Flush the pots with lots of water and you’ll probably get rid of most of them, but there’s no need to get rid of them.
