Brassavola Cattleya hybrid with discoloration and black parts

I recently bought this hybrid and was unaware of viruses being incurable (once stablished?) and the fact that they are so nasty.

I imagine a definite answer would come with a strip test, nevertheless I'd like help from more experienced growers to possibily rule it out since the two newer pseudobulbs don't have discoloration nor black spots (attached).

That looks like an old fungal problem that has dried up (and so is no problem at all) The new growth looks fine. The "insults" that the plant may have encountered in the past look well- contained. Watch to make sure that it doesn't spread. But I don't think it's a virus problem. There may have been some insect damage (such as scale). The insects can be killed (and probably were) but the spots where they did their damage will still be there. Again, if nothing spreads, nothing to worry about.
