The sap is (usually) a good thing! Some folks call it "happy sap". It is excess sugars excreted from the cells and nothing to be worried about.
It can attract sucking pests that like to feed on the sap (scale for example), so maybe we vigilant for them appearing. If there is sap all over your leaves for example, that could mean pests are already apparent, but here and there on the buds or new growths is normal in a healthy plant.
