Default Identifying yellow spots on Phalaenopsis leaf

Hi all,

I moved this old (third blooming) Phal to a brighter spot and noticed a few yellow spots on the leaf.

Attaching photos.

The spots don't have a smell and, albeit translucent, they aren't mushy. I noticed when I took the photo with the flash on a brown cast would show underneath but not on top of the leaf. On top of the leaf I did notice a slight blister-like bump on the yellow spot, but the blister felt rigid and hard, not filled with water or any liquid. This blister-like texture was hard to photograph.

Any idea of what this might be?

I wouldn’t rule out mechanical/physical damage. If something poked or scraped the underside it can turn the top side of the leaf yellow-ish.

Mateo
Judging based on my standards I don't see nothing specially unusual in your photos.
Basically, when you find things like these, what you must do is monitoring if it spreads or any other kind of evolution.
If it doesn't happen, then it's not a problem.

And (I think) I see this a lot. And I've never figured it was anything to worry about. I favor the explanation of minor mechanical damage.

Thank you all! I also thought mechanical damage was the most likely explanation. I personally didn’t want to isolate this orchid due to a lack of space but I would’ve done it if the forum had illustrated me on a potential pathogen
