Hi!

As some of you know I've been dealing with Phals for quite few years now. The repot has always been well and Phals never go wrong, by contrary.

I have repotted 5 Phals for my mother-in-law from bark to lava rock (the medium I have been using in the past year), they seat well for 4-5 days in my house, and then she took it on a 1-day trip to another state. My analisis is that they get over heated, but maybe you know better what could went wrong.

I don't have any plant with bacteria or infection, neither of these were mixed with my collection:

This is how I handdle it to her:

This is how she have them now:

Sunburn can take only a few minutes, or less. With the unusual weather that we have all been having, the sun may be hitting in places where it wasn't a problem in years past. I think those plants got a serious toasting... They'll recover though the ugly leaves will stay ugly.

The sun inside a hot car can be brutal. The temperature at spots where the sun hit, on top of the ambient heat, could bring the temperature close to boiling! Think "third-degree burns".

Yes Roberta. It was definitely that. No other explanation. I felt bad. I will send her a couple of new ones so she feels better 🌟
