Spider mites on an Angraecum?

This angraecum sesquipedale has had a silvery look to the underside of some older leaves, and now it seems to have some small black spots on some leaves. It has been outside on a covered east facing porch for most of the summer, growing new leaves slowly but surely (I love in central NY) Do you think it has spider mites or something else? I’ve sprayed it with neem and soap a couple times, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

I got it from an Etsy seller at the beginning of the summer.

I can't really tell. Spider mites flourish in warm, low humidity weather. If it's routinely over 80% humidity they're unlikely. Water kills their eggs, so if it was exposed to rain they're less likely.

Soap treatment needs to be repeated every few days for 3 treatments because some eggs survive.

Angraecums can get black spots from sunburn and inadequate watering. Fungus is a possibility in high humidity.

Thanks for looking! Humidity this morning is 94% (it's raining) but it is generally high in the summer in Ithaca. It is generally sheltered, but the rain can get in onto the porch if the wind blows it.

Well maybe it is okay then! I've also heard they can be slow after repotting, so perhaps it is still readjusting to its new environment.

Uh oh. How far do they travel? This plant has been isolated for a couple of months on a table by itself on the porch, but earlier in the spring it was sharing a shelf with a bunch of my phals. If those are indeed spider mites, I think it had them when I got it... or perhaps the seller had treated for it and it has come back. Should I spray everything (my collection is 20 or so plants, mostly phals)?

Thanks for the suggestion to try azamax, it’s a bit pricey but sounds less messy and more effective than the neem I’ve been using, so I’ll give it a try!
