Cattleya with strange mottling
Default Cattleya with strange mottling

I just got this Cattleya from a private seller but the leaves look kinda weird compared to my others.
I知 still a little new to Cattleyas, so is it the start of sunburn? Or a fungus? Or virus???
I知 not sure what I知 looking at.

Possibly a mineral imbalance, but I doubt that it is anything to worry about. Give it the care that you give your other plants, see if there are changes over the next 6 months or so. I think I see one spot on a leaf there was a little sunburn, again won't really harm anything if it came that way. If it developed after you got it, then move it to a little more shade. Even a high-light plant like a Catt doesn't like rapid change - increase light gradually and lt adjust.

The only way to know if it痴 virused is to test it.
