Can anyone confirm if the discontinuous colour on this Catt flower indicates it has a virus?

The flower is well below expected size and the leaves are in bad shape - dull, desiccated and tending to yellow.

If a virus its incurable, right?

Cheers
Arron

You can't tell without a virus test.

Agree with ES that you can't determine virus without a test. But those makings on the flowers are suspicious. But other things (like insect damage) can also leave marks on flowers. If you can't test, I'd suggest isolating the plant. If it blooms like that the next time, then that increases the odds that it is.

Since the plant isn't thriving, also an indication that it could have virus. And yes, virus is incurable. Along with isolation, handle this plant with care to avoid spreading to other plants (sterile tools, gloves, protect surfaces with newspaper, etc)

Doubt if this is a virus on the flower. More likely to be insect damage. If it is just on the flower it might be water damage from suns rays after spraying. If the plant is definitely not thriving try unpotting it and look at the roots. There could well be a nasty hiding in the roots or compost which is causing general debilitation.
