Shriveled leaves often (in fact most of the time) don't regain their stiffness. But with the original problem corrected, new leaves will (hopefully) be normal. If they are small, I would not worry - the plant is recovering and likely the next group will be bigger as the plant's condition improves.

Oh, thank you. Someone had once told me the leaves should regain the healthy stiffness and it never happened so I was wondering what else could I have done ...

This is valuable information that makes me feel better, too. Thank you!

I looked at the original photos again. Beside mites, thrips attack is a possibility. These are small insects. They also might be in the medium. Control measures for both are similar, but the bugs look different.
