Disease or leaf Damage?
Exclamation Disease or leaf Damage?

Hello! I received a Paphiopedilum Pinocchio in the mail, and it had a bit of a mealy bug infestation. I think I got it under control.

However I noticed there is also this patch, I will attach a picture. It looks like perhaps the leaf has been cut or damaged, as there is a dark line in the centre, however I'm not sure if this had leaf to an infected? could it be something with the mealy bugs?
I worry as it is very near the crown.

What should I do?

Thanks.

It does look soft and wet, like a rot. It could have begun from the scratch.

I would take a razor blade and carefully cut off the whole leaf as far below the brown spot as you can. Then put a small amount of powdered cinnamon on the cut edge of the leaf.

I agree with E.S. I usually use Isopropyl alcohol to disinfect before sprinkling on the Cinnamon as an extra precaution.
