Default Onc Twinkle - Maybe mites, maybe low RH, etc

Hello, my friends

My Onc. Twinkle is not happy.
Its leaves have all the aspect of being attacked by mites or some similar pest (the cotton test shows tiny dark spots, not red...not sure if it's only dust).
The only new growth this year is getting yeallow and drying.
I also suspect low RH, around 40% when the sun of hitting the room (this plant doesn't get full sun) but it increases to 60% at night.
Temps are 22ºC (day) and 17ºC (night).
Another thing I've been considering is the medium. I suspect it holds water for too much time. It is made of small size bark + coco chips.

I'm thinking about repot it with the same medium but larger bark size (I'll keep it in the same pot).
Also I will try to take all the measures to attack an eventual out of control mite population (clean the leaves periodically for two weeks with an alcohol solution and spray the whole plant with water in every watering).

What do you think? Would you do something differently?

BTW, because it's not all bad news, the plant is blooming.

Some photos:

Thanks ES
I'm also incline to mites. I'll start the measures right after the blooms have gone.

I would treat now. I don't think it will harm the flowers much.

the brown spots have nothing to do with mites if you do have them, the only sign would be picture 2, the few white spots.
The substrate does look pretty wet, one backbulb has rotted away.

I have already told you my theory on he brown leaves but my Twinkle currently has the same and it will take a year to see if I can change it happening so I'll let you know by next year. If you are interested.

For now maybe a repot is in order, no need to do it while it's flowering though, do it in spring.

By next year I should have a more informed answer.

Shade, that's an old pbulb. I have this for for almost 5 years and this was one of the original pbulbs.
It looks wet because I had watered it before taking the photo.

It's probably nothing major or anything serious. Just to be on the safe side - another possible option might be to just add some imidacloprid granules into a spray bottle, and add a little bit of natra soap, plus a little bit of pyrethrum, and add water too - to the spray bottle. Give it a good shake and allow some time for granules to dissolve a bit. And - once it's all good ------ spray the leaves with the sprayer nozzle. Then allow to air-dry.

My oncidium twinkle has similar features on some of the leaves ------ just like that ------ but nothing bad ever happens or develops from it. I can take pics later.

good news everyone, my first twinkle flower has opened up tonight.

Little bit behind but it's a beautiful flower. So much so I am going to buy another one.

I am still missing a white one, a yellow one. So many good colors.

SP, you can gladly show your leaves, like said mine look the same too but my aim is to stop the twinkle abuse

RB, good to hear it's just from watering, the flowers show it's in good shape overall. Hope it's ok I tag along with my flowers in a week or so.

Back again! Just adding a link to the Onc. Twinkle that I'm growing ----- at LINK.

And this extra photo is captured this evening - with some mealybugs attacking. And have now treated it with a concoction of imidacloprid plus natra soap plus pyrethrum - all mixed with water - sprayed onto the leaves - front/back/stem etc. That will sort it.

But - for the pics in the web-link ------ it is noticed that the Twinkle has spots etc ----- which a lot of people report, and just confirming that it doesn't appear to do anything bad to the plant. It still grows well and flowers nicely each year.
