What is this?
Have you seen this before?
Holds media together in a compact manner. Looks like spider web, but is much stronger. Engulfs roots, but was able to wash and carefully rub off.
Have removed all media and will be repotting into moss (all I have at the moment.)
Last three photos 10x magnified.

I wonder about a slime mold. It looks like ones I've seen in the forest.

yep definitely a mold I would want to keep away from my collection. It looks pretty invasive. I wouldn't even take any risks with that plant or if you do keep it outside.
