Fly likes hanging on my Encyclia buds often at night.
Hi everyone,
I was just curious about having flies that like to regularly sit for long periods of time on orchid buds. I see this fly regularly landing on my Encyclia Cindy’s bud at night. I tried to take a picture. He’ll sit on the same bud for a long time. Just wondering how it will effect the development of the C buds, if it’s a good thing or not.
Amen. Right now I have cool wasp that lives on a brassida spike. I think he’s eating the ants!

I imagine I lose 5-10% of flower buds (not spikes, but one of 20 total flowers) to bugs or some other force of nature. I prefer to have the bugs and animals than the extra flowers
