Default possible emergency, what is this?

so, just looked in on the terrarium and noticed this on my den wassellii. i don’t think the species is really important tho.

i look in on it everyday, and didn’t see this till just now. admittedly, i have a mutant fungus gnat problem on my hands in there. but, ok, ive had gnats for 20 years and never seen this. could it be an outbreak or egg? that’s the only thing i could think. this doesn’t look like a normal plant growth to me.

it was immediately taken out and moved outside

thanks for any insight....

That's a new one to me, but I suspect it's insect in origin.

yeah, new to me too

i also suspect insect ray, but have never seen one show up literally overnight. that’s insane to me. after being outside for 20 minutes they were dry and I just r7bbed them all off with my fingers and washed with mild soap then a huge flush. for sure not the plant as it was all superficial. dunno....stumped and afraid! hahahah

i can’t see anyth8ng like it anywhere else in the terrarium.....thankfully for now

I have seen aphid eggs or larvae, not sure which, appear suddenly like that, but they look more like little threads.
