Yellow and brown spots on leaves

Hi there. I have a supermarket phalaenopsis. Shortly after repotting a few months ago, I noticed a couple of mealybugs on the plant, so sprayed with a pesticide safe for ornamentals.

Now I've noticed some very slowly progressive yellow, brown and black spots as per attached photos. Can anyone help? I've done a bit of research, doesn't seem to look like any of the classically described infections, although I'm a noob so happy to stand corrected.

What are your day/night temperatures, humidity? How are you watering? What is the potting material? What kind of light is it getting?

The damaged areas on the stem might be old damage. Were there mealybugs in those areas?

The leaves make me wonder whether you might have spider mites. Take a piece of tissue paper and rub it under the leaf from stem to tip. Do you see red or brownish streaks? The pits might also be old damage from mealy bugs. Were they on the leaves in those places?

Is there any possibility you splashed cold water on the leaves? That can cause sunken dead areas if the water is a lot cooler than the plant.

Hey, thanks for looking. Live in Brisbane, Australia. Very hot and humid here at the moment (like 30 to 34 deg Celsius). They only get filtered light. Nothing visible on undersides of leaves. Mealybugs were near the stem where leaf attaches. Never use cold water.

I had a look at the stickys, couldn't find anything that looked similar, maybe more than one issue?

I don't think the spots on the leaf bases at the stem are anything to worry about. With those temperatures and humidity there could be disease issues on the leaves. There are other Australians on Orchid Board who might recognize this. You might also contact a local orchid society to see whether they have seen something similar.
