And the reverse situation. My son in law is huge into succulents and is a real deal plantophile (is that a word?). A co-worker two years ago gave him a pot filled with succulents for his birthday. He said Oh Great!, went through the whole graciousness thing. They weren't real.

She still doesn't have a clue. He keeps them on a windowsill in his office. She comes in, admires them, remarks on how vibrant they still look and asks about his care of them. He shows her how he mists them (keeps the dust off) and even lets her water them occasionally.

Would you believe I was a Bible schoolar when young along with marrying a Lutheran Seminarian, and Missionaries in my family from Niece, Brother and parents all the way back to 1830. every generation except my grandfather and his father. How often can I used KelpMax on my blooming, budding and non budding Phals. How about Oncs and Zygos and Vandas.
My Vandas are very young. One seedling has a root new, the others is beginning to show signs. My yearly seedling has five or six roots about an inch or slightly longer.
How often can I use K.Max on those three. Can I combine it with weak 20 20 20/ or use it separate/

Re Oncs/ All but one are healthy and that one has filled out the pseudobulbs..2, and has some healthy thin roots. took her out of S/H and have her sitting on damp moss/ I think I will keep her there until next summer.
My Lazarus Phal is also on moss and has one bud of a root. Same questions re K.Max and fertilizer for her/him.

Actually, “Lazereth” is not a rare mistake.

Concerning KelpMax application, my general recommendation is to apply it - always at 1 tablespoon per gallon - once a month, but depending upon the situation, I do the following:

• First time use: two treatments, two weeks apart.
• Plants with no roots, soak in the solution for a couple of hours, pot up and water in with the solution. For the next two waterings, use a KelpMax solution.
• Ordinary repotting: water the plant in with it, then use the solution for the next two waterings. (I have been known to use it every two weeks until I see roots emerging.)

KelpMax may be mixed with fertilizers and most other horticultural chemicals, but whatever you mix it with should be at a pH of 7 or lower.

It can be used on any plant in any stage of growth or flowering. In fact, there are folks out there who use timed, extra applications to enhance spike length and flower size.

The only plants I would avoid treating are those in a period of dormancy, as it will wake ‘em up.

One of the advantages of using KelpMax rather than other stimulants is that it’s effectiveness is not based solely on auxins. Because of that, it is very “gentle” on the plant, not causing the overdosing issues.
