the two biggest losses are new growths on some bulbos, one is dead for sure and the other is floppy and looking sad...they are some of my slower growers and it will be a year plus set back
the rain barrels are the only thing i am upset about, that had to be just reckless spraying bordering on intentional, they were CAPPED!!

The city mandates it and probably gives a liability exemption, so there's no reason to care.

i keep getting gut punched every time i find a new loss
the bog garden might be entirely toast. i had it covered but all the plants are brown and i suspect they either uncovered it before rinsing or broke the sheeting bc they appear to be dying from the rhizome up and not the normal way top down.
sucks

I'm really bothered by this situation. There has to be some recourse to compensation at the least. Maybe a trip to the next city council meeting with photos and receipts for the lost and damaged plants?
Really sorry you are going through this.

You and me both Dusty... I feel gut punched as well. So upset I don't know what to do. Go punch out a few roof cleaners? Ugh. They CAN and SHOULD do better! Okay... gotta stop, or I'll start cussing then need to put myself in time out.

I appreciate the sympathy
I am going to start doing the h2o2 applications and do it myself.
Lesson learned and I hope I can help others avoid the same fate.

I feel so sorry for you, I truly hope you can find a solution to save your plants and get a proper indemnification.
That amount of carelessness is not tolerable.
I don't know what was inside the product they used, but if I were you I'd be extremely careful.
Whatever chemical was used, was probably in a very, very high concentration to cause that much damage.
Pouring hydrogen peroxyde on bleach is dangerous!

Great warning.
I have rinsed and rinsed and rinsed the roof. It now runs clear. I also got an assist from an overnight deluge which dropped about four inches according to the storage tote I accidentally left out (lol)
I won’t be spraying any h2o2 for several months either.
I am resolved to never have anyone else do this job and hope to serve as a cautionary lesson to others about this

It occurred to me a steam sprayer would probably work, too.
