Phals luxuriate in warm, humid, medium-to-deep shade. If you have a place outside where critters won't munch, it will be happy.

I’m too afraid of bugs outside plus we have aggressive squirrels here that munch on plants and dig in the pots so I think I will keep them inside for now. I do have a deep windowsill in my living room, great for plants. The only problem is that it’s north facing but if they like deep shade then maybe it will do well there. Currently I have both of my phals there. Thanks to all of you for the great advice!
