Default Vanda root tip black

Good morning, I am relatively new to orchids. I live in south Florida and I keep all my orchids outside.
I have a Vanda that I just noticed has a root tip that is black. It is potted in a standard orchid mix of fir bark, charcoal and perlite. I water it every morning in the summer and all of its other roots look very healthy with shiny green tips. I fertilize it approximately every two weeks.
I’m thinking maybe the tip has been burned? Either by fertilizer or the sun?
I would like help figuring out what the issue is and how I should proceed. Should I cut the root at the tip? Is it Possibly a fungal infection?

Florida is perfect for growing Vandas but they don't need any medium. They are usually suspended in a basket with roots growing down and out. Some of us have even tried vase culture. 3 of mine are in baskets and hang outside beneath a semi-shady tree and I just spray the roots each day twice daily. People even tie them to trees with great success. The Forum section should be looked at and Google is always great for fotos.

It looks like it has been damaged.
Like from a snail chewing the end or something.

If it were nutrient burn or sun damage the tip would still be there but the tip is missing.

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

That can also be mechanical damage - like scraping against something.
