Vanda leaf spots
Default Vanda leaf spots

Hello, I've only been an orchid care person for two years, so I have much to learn. Just joined this board, and I'm sure it will help. I just noticed a couple leaves on my Vanda with these spots. Searching here I haven't really seen the same thing. So far all I've treated with is hydrogen peroxide. i've had it about a year, growing conditions/location haven't changed any.
Thanks for any advice......

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

We need more information. Browning from the leaf tips tends to be caused by too much fertilizing, too many dissolved minerals in the water, drying out for too long, and being too close to a window in summer or winter. Vandas don't usually brown from high water mineral content, and your plant looks well watered. It's likely one of the other causes. Vandas in homes rarely have fungus or bacterial rot.

What are conditions in your growing area? Temperatures, humidity, air circulation, light? How do you water and how often? How do you fertilize?
