Hi everyone!
I just received my Mini Dendrobium Thailand Stripe "Carmela" in the mail (6/27/2020), and it has a black spot all the way around the top of the cane. One leaf is turning yellow as well as the cane, but the yellowing does not go all the way down the cane. The bottom is green. I have squeezed all the way up and down the cane, on the black spot, and the leaf and nothing is mushy; it is hard as a rock. (Except the leaves which feel normal to me.) I thought it was rotting at first, but it's not mushy at all. I know the guy was growing his orchids for sale outside in his yard in Florida, so my next thought was maybe sunburned? Below is a link that provides more pix of the orchid. The first four pix on the link are the pix that were in the add when the orchid was for sale. The rest are pix that I took today after watering the orchid. Does anyone know what's wrong with this orchid and what I should do? It looks like the cane has flowered, and the spike was cut near the leaves. Is this normal or something I should be worried about?
Thanks!
