Default Slugs have been found!!

I was soaking some of my Dens today and noticed everyone had slugs crawling up the stems.

I have ordered sluggo to put a few pieces in the pots. Will that be enough or should I repot?

Good idea about the sluggo. I haven't encountered slugs in my growing area - but wonder if slugs are easier to deal with when compared to snails.

Snails could probably tuck themselves into their shells for a bit to prevent dry-out. But if the media were allowed to dry for some amount of time, then I wonder if the slugs could handle the dry condition for some substantially long time. Maybe they won't like it heheh.

I had one oncidium with really small snails living in the medium. I watered it for two weeks with coffee instead of plain water. So far I haven't seen them anymore.
Coffee alcaloids kill them, and if not, creates an unpleasent environment.
I don't know if it works with slugs but one thing I know...my Oncidium likes coffee.

Sounds very effective! I wonder if 'kaffn8' (not sure their price, or whether it's orchid-safe) could work too. A watered down dose of that heheh.

I can't remember the dosage but it wasn't an expresso as we drink here...it was somewhat diluted, probably 50% considering the expresso as the reference.

But I remember that tanine content was an issue, so lowering the concentration is a good idea.

Does anybody think I need a report or the sluggo will be enough?
