Browning leaves - help please..

I'm not sure the exact type of orchids I have. I know I have a tendency to over water also.
One of mine had a brown leaf that is slowly spreading both have small spots on some outer leaves.
Room is generally warm. Watering is soaking about 2 times a week and misting them in the morning (should maybe stop the misting? Causing to much moisture for infection?)
From what I read so far on here, possible infection.
Any help would be appreciated. I don't want them to die on me..

If the roots are not deteriorating, and they remain nice and white etc ...... then it won't be a case of 'over-watering'.

Some Oncidium type orchids do get spotting of that particular kind, and growers just consider it 'normal' ----- as not many (or even no) growers appear to have a method to stop the spotting completely.

But maybe some gentle air-movement in the growing area (to cut down on fungal activity if any) could help. Or -- if humidity is not too low there, then see what happens for case of no misting.

As for the browning leaf --- if that is an old leaf, then maybe it can just go brown ----- as in normal cycle.

Just maintain nice growing temperature, and some gentle air-movement, and monitor the orchid leaves. If the other leaves remain nice in the next week or so, then no problem.

I would suggest not doing the misting - it doesn't do much to help, and can spread disease. On the plants, the leaf with the large brown area could be trimmed with a sterile tool (single edge razor blade or sterilized clippers). The small spots are probably fungal or bacterial, the Oncidium group seems to be really susceptible to this "ick" which is pretty much harmless, just unaesthetic. SouthPark's suggest of improving air movement is a very good one. When you water, water the medium not the leaves. If the leaves can stay dry, they will be less vulnerable to whatever may be floating in the air.
