Is it out of the question to suggest you get lady bugs...

I’m only half kidding. I have learned to love me some predatory insects... spiders and lady bugs and lizards (okay, not an insect and neither is a spider)

The brownish ones are all different ages of aphids, the white things are aphid sheds. I recently bought a Sherry Baby that was infested. A single application of an organic insecticidal soap did the trick. I thoroughly drenched the flowers since that’s where the aphids were on mine as well. I did rinse the plant after an hour since the soap is kind of smelly indoors. I didn’t notice any flower damage.

Outside the ladybugs, syrphid flies, spiders, and predatory mites do a pretty good job. None seem to be able to keep up with aphid proliferations on spikes and flowers when they get going so I do use the soap there as well.
