Dolly - I had the same thought as you and other members - about high light intensity. The leaves in the opening photos look just like what happens when the lighting is relatively high on orchid leaves. Totally agree with you that some occasional supplements would be very beneficial.

Thank you all.
I did un-pot it and checked the roots. Looks like the new potting mix was holding in too much moisture and some of the roots had a bit of mouldy stuff on them. Previous potting mix was mostly moss mixture and this is more bark etc. I tidied up roots a bit, changed the potting mixture and removed decorative pot to get more air and light and move the orchid to a bit more shaded spot in the house.
And i must say - the small brown patch which was on the other leave - it doesn't look like its spreading and is the same size as was last week. So fingers crossed this has helped. Will look into buying some supplements for it.

Sounds good!

I'm assuming the mouldy stuff is mould. Just be careful (if not aware only) that some white stuff that looks like mould or fungal growth on roots of some plants, like phalaenopsis, and in particular - paphiopedilum orchids - is ..... the roots can be hairy ------ giving some impression that there's fungal growth on them.

For example - in this link here - the white hairs are part of the orchid's own roots. CLICK HERE

But - if some roots were indeed pretty wet and soggy, and some very soft and appearing to be breaking down, then it's likely that you saved your orchid. That's the benefit that an orchid gets from a grower that watches their orchids enough, and detects any changes that don't appear to be good.
