Physan 20 and Mealybugs

Quick question,

I recently experienced the joy of dealing with mealybugs. While I think I'm in the clear, I am treating the suspected plant that introduced the fun with a little extra treatment. I believe it might have a fungal/bacterial condition in addition to once being infested with mealybugs.

Just out of curiosity, does Physan 20 help with mealybugs? I wonder because it seems to have a soapy quality and I know mild dish detergent is supposed to help reduce them.
