Have an issue with my one of my paphiopedilum and was wondering if someone can give a bit of help with identifying what's wrong.
Attached are a couple of pics... the brown patches look sticky but are not sticky. First time I saw it looked like something I could clean but it's an actual issue in the leaves.
I agree that it’s likely residual damage from some earlier trauma, whether physical damage, insect, or disease. It’s probably over and nothing to be concerned about at this point, but as Alice said, just keep an eye on it.
Totally agree with alice and ray.
I've seen a similar situation with a cattleya leaf. Minor patch just like you describe and showed. Nothing eventuated from it at all. Just maintain good air circulation around leaves and roots, nice temperature and good light levels.

At that site, there's mention of a Cercospora dendrobii. Looks familiar? Hard to say. But at least it's something to look into. It doesn't have to be Cercospora dendrobii. It could be Cercospora of some other kind. Or even something else.
I believe that good air-circulation should keep whatever it is at bay.
