Merit 75WP

Has anyone used Merit 75 WP for scale? If so how did you apply and what concentration?

Hi, I am new to the Orchid Board but not to growing Orchids and plants of all kinds! I cannot get enough of the green guys! My biggest interest is growing organically. This is very difficult in a controlled enviornment such as a greenhouse. I used Merit 75 wp at 1/8 of a teaspoon to one gallon of water with 1/4 teaspoon high nitrogen fertilizer added. Always follow the directions for safety sake! I applied this mixture up to 5 times within 1year every 10 days to two weeks. This may have been overkill, but I had a real problem with soft scale and mealybugs. I have at least 1,000 plants. This should be applied to the roots as well as the leaves. It seemed to take a while for the bugs to die but when they did Wow almost two years -no scale no mealybugs!!! This is so easy to work with and no smell. Just be careful and wear all the protective stuff. Good luck.
